Police said a pickup van returning from Khatu Shyam and Salasar Balaji temples crashed into a parked truck on the Manoharpur highway around 4–5 am, injuring eight others.

District Magistrate Prem Ranjan Singh, the SSP, and other officials visited the victims’ families, assuring full assistance. The deceased were identified as Mishthi (1), Babu (3), Poorvi (6), Lakshay (6), Vaishnavi (7), Mahak (7), Saloni (9), Sheela (20), Priyanka (25), Seema (25), and Sonam (32).

Authorities have sent a team to Dausa to help relatives, and the bodies will be brought back to Etah. In mourning, the Lodhi Mahasabha postponed the Virangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi Shobha Yatra scheduled for August 16. Locals and leaders gathered to offer condolences.
