Karnataka-based Ubuntu Consortium goes International

Former Chief Secretary K Ratnaprabha who heads the UBUNTU consortium ( a pan-India consortium of women entrepreneurs) ) was recently invited as panellist for a training programme for women entrepreneurs in digital marketing by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific South and South-West Asia Office (UNESCAP-SSWA) and the Commonwealth Secretariat at Maldives. This is recognition of Ubuntu Consortium’s hard work during Covid Times. Two of Ubuntu Consortium members Gayathri Suresh and Anitha Suresh were also selected for the training. The training program was aimed at focusing on the importance of digital marketing for business. During the training, Mrs Ratnaprabha spoke on the initiatives of Ubuntu consortium and support of Karnataka Government in encouraging women Entrepreneurs. This programme was also attended by women entrepreneurs from Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Mauritius and African nations. The representatives of all the countries appreciated the initiatives of Ubuntu consortium which is unique and first of its kind.
