John Abraham says ‘men should not look pretty’

John Abraham recently graced Shilpa Shetty’s new chat show where one of his statements has garnered opposing views from netizens.
In the teaser of the show shared by Shilpa on Instagram, John is heard saying, ‘Fitness is like a tripod stand–good food, good exercise, and good sleep. Later in the video, he is also heard saying, ‘I believe men should not look pretty. Men should be imperfect.’
The video was shared on a social news aggregator where it garnered a lot of views. A person wrote, ‘John’s statements are so problematic but usko koi kuch nahi bolta.’ Another one added, ‘’Men should not look pretty’ says John the prettiest boy lol also why hold these double standards, let’s not have these unreal expectations for women as well then.’
Meanwhile, on the work front, John will next be seen in ‘Attack’ along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. The film will hit the theatres on April 1. 2022. Apart from that, he also has Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain Returns’ co-starring Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria.
He is also a part of Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ where he will be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone for the first time. John will reportedly play the antagonist in the film. The action thriller will arrive in cinemas on January 25, 2023.
