Painting Exhibition “ODYESSEY TO A GREAT EPIC” at World Culture

It is a great opportunity for fellow artists and general public to view and enjoy the gallery show starting from 10th June 2022 till 16th June 2022 at the Indian Institute of World Culture, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru.
Nestled among the greeneries of south Bengaluru, Indian Institute of World culture in Basavanagudi has been on a mission to propagate culture and Universal brotherhood for the last 75 years. Many world renowned personalities from various fields have been regularly providing lectures or presenting their art forms.
Indian Institute of world culture also house a vast collection of over one lakh books in their public library along with daily newspapers and magazines. Painting classes are also held regularly for art students.
ODYESSEY TO A GREAT EPIC is being held from June 10th for one week at World Culture Art Gallery showcasing the works of renowned artist Chandranath Acharya. The inauguration of the exhibition is planned in the august presence of Noted artist S.G.Vasudev, former diplomat Chiranjeev Singh, Scholars A.R.Mitra and Shatavadhani Dr. R Ganesh.
Chandranath Acharya’s solo exhibition, ODYSSEY TO A GREAT EPIC, presents a captivating suite of watercolour paintings. Created for Sudha weekly more than two decades ago, the illustrations are based on dramatic sequences outlined in classics such as ‘Vachana Bharata’ and ‘Kumaravyasa Bharata’. The show provides a rare opportunity for viewers to appreciate his mastery over illustration art, and also to get transported to a enigmatic world that seems so distinct, distant and ethereal.
