Police cracked down on an unauthorised New Year celebration at a farmhouse in Heggadahalli village of Doddaballapur taluk in Bengaluru Rural district during the early hours of the New Year. The raid was conducted around midnight after local residents complained of loud music and disturbance caused by the gathering.
According to police, around 40 to 50 youths were found participating in the party, which was being held without any official permission. Loud music was allegedly played at high volume, causing noise pollution in the surrounding residential areas. The celebrations reportedly continued despite restrictions, prompting locals to alert the police.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, a team from the Doddaballapur Rural Police Station, led by Sadiq Pasha, reached the farmhouse and conducted a raid. Upon inspection, police confirmed that the organisers had failed to obtain the mandatory permission to host a party and play music.
The police immediately dispersed the gathering and brought the situation under control. Liquor stocked at the farmhouse was seized from the premises as part of the action. No major injuries were reported during the operation, and the youths were asked to vacate the location.
Officials stated that a case has been registered against the owner of the farmhouse as well as the party organisers for violating rules related to public order, noise pollution, and hosting an event without permission. Further investigation is underway to ascertain additional violations, if any.
Police authorities reiterated that strict action will be taken against individuals who organise unauthorised parties, especially during late-night hours, causing inconvenience to the public. They also urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement and follow rules while celebrating festivals and public events.
The incident serves as a reminder that celebrations must be conducted responsibly and within the framework of the law to ensure public safety and peace.
