Discrepancies and misappropriation of funds were noted during recent Lokayukta raids on officials Dr BR Ambedkar Development Corporation

Lokayukta officials raided the Dr BR Ambedkar Development Corporation on Tuesday following various allegations, including irregularities in loan sanctioning.
Sources said that a raid was conducted at the corporation’s office in Vasanthnagar, under the leadership of Lokayukta SP Shivaprakash and important documents are being examined.
Ambedkar Development Corporation used to provide loans of Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh to the backward classes on a subsidized basis. However, the corporation officials were accused of misappropriating more than Rs. 10 crore through various irregularities including creating fake documents and fake candidates to sanction loans. It is learnt that a team of 10 officers raided the premises in the early hours of today and is examining the documents.
Separate news, Lokayukta raids homes of 10 employees: Lokayukta officials who recently (November 25) raided 47 places belonging to 10 employees working in various government departments on charges of disproportionate assets, discovered properties worth crores of rupees.
A team of the State Lokayukta Police raided the homes, offices and residences of relatives of 10 officers on duty in Bengaluru City, Mysore, Mandya, Bidar, Haveri, Dharwad, Gadag, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts. During this, movable and immovable property worth about Rs 35.31 crore was found. A case has been registered in this regard at the local police stations and an investigation is underway, Lokayukta officials had said in a media release.
During the raid on the employees’ homes, officials found plots, residential houses, agricultural land, crores of rupees in cash, crores of rupees in valuable gold jewellery, luxury vehicles, household appliances and other items.
