The examination for village administrative officers will take place across Karnataka on October 27. Deputy Commissioners and District Superintendents of Police have been instructed to remain vigilant to ensure that no irregularities occur during the examination process. The warning was issued during a meeting where concerns were raised about past issues in similar competitive exams.
Officials were reminded that previous irregularities, such as those seen in the PSI examination, have led to confusion within the system. It was emphasized that such issues should not be allowed in the upcoming village administrative officers’ exam. A total of 4.71 lakh candidates are expected to participate in this year’s exam. With a significant number of job-seekers, officials were reminded of their responsibility to conduct the exam fairly to ensure deserving candidates secure the available jobs.
The number of examination centres varies by district, with some districts having as few as 40 centres, while others have as many as 86. In light of past incidents of question paper leaks, officials were urged to ensure that no such issues occur this year. The importance of tight security around the handling of question papers, especially when they are in the district treasury or being transported to examination centres, was highlighted. The police department was directed to provide strict security measures throughout the process.
Officials present at the meeting expressed their commitment to ensuring that the examination is conducted smoothly and without any irregularities. The importance of maintaining the integrity of the exam process was repeatedly stressed.
