The Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD) on Thursday, has called on Chinese authorities to disclose the whereabouts of four Tibetans detained in Ngaba, Sichuan Province. The group includes two monks from Kirti Monastery, Lobsang Samten and Lobsang Trinley along with Tsering Tashi and Wangkyi, who were arrested in early September.

Since their detention, no information has been provided about their location or the charges against them. Lobsang Samten, 53, a senior monk at Kirti Monastery, was previously detained in 2011. Lobsang Trinley, in his 40s, is a key figure in monastery rituals. Tsering Tashi, 41, and Wangkyi, 43, are siblings, with reports suggesting their arrest may be linked to contacts in India.

The region has seen increased repression, particularly targeting Kirti Monastery. Arbitrary detentions and secret trials of Tibetans have become more common. TCHRD is urging China to stop these detentions and provide information on the detainees, calling on the international community to advocate for Tibetan rights.
