Actress Mithila Palkar, gearing up for her upcoming streaming film Sweet Dreams, describes her character, Dia, as someone who is both confused and ambitious, seeking something more than the routine life. Dia, a songwriter, navigates her dreams and aspirations, which go beyond romance, exploring what truly matters in life. The trailer for the film was released on Monday.

Directed by Victor Mukherjee, the film follows the story of two strangers connected through a surreal world of dreams. Mithila shares, Dia’s journey is one many can relate to. She’s torn between her ambition and confusion. The film’s dreamlike quality is about understanding the bigger picture. I hope the trailer shows a glimpse of the magic we’ve created. She adds that the collaboration with director Victor and co-star Amol Parashar was invaluable.

Along with Mithila and Amol, the film stars Meiyang Chang and Sauraseni Maitra. The film’s soundtrack, by Mukund Suryawanshi, Shubham Shirule, Dev Arijit, and Akashdeep Sengupta, complements the film’s dreamy, whimsical atmosphere.

Amol Parashar, who plays Kenny, describes his character as someone stuck between his past and a potential deep connection. Director Victor Mukherjee explains that Sweet Dreams is more than just a love story, delving into the subconscious and the desire to chase the extraordinary while missing the beauty of the present. The film releases on Disney+ Hotstar on January 24, 2025.
