In a significant operation last week, the Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab intercepted ten drones from Pakistan that were involved in smuggling drugs into India. Along with the drones, they seized 15.832 kg of heroin. The BSF shared in an official statement, In the past week, alert troops intercepted and recovered ten Pakistani drones involved in drug smuggling. Additionally, we successfully seized 15.832 kg of heroin. All the intercepted drones were made in China and were part of cross-border smuggling efforts.
Earlier, BSF troops, in collaboration with Punjab police, found a Chinese-made drone in the Tarn Taran district. Acting on intelligence about a drone in the area, they conducted a search operation and recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a harvested field near village Wan. This successful operation highlights the effective teamwork of BSF and Punjab police in combatting illegal drone activities.
