A standoff continues between the devotees of Samsthan Hiremath and Siddarameshwar Swamiji, leading to the formation of a new trust by a group of devotees. The followers of the seer have accused him of irregularities, including misuse of funds, financial exploitation, interference by family members, and misappropriation of the mutt’s assets. Despite repeated requests, the seer did not attend an emergency meeting with local devotees to address these issues.

On Thursday, a group of devotees assembled to discuss and draft a list of demands, which were then communicated to the seer through Circle Inspector Mauneshwar Malipatil. The demands included revealing the mutt’s total assets, reinstating Siddhaiah Gaddimath, legally establishing a new trust to manage the mutt, and ensuring that family members do not interfere in the mutt’s affairs. The resolution demanded that these issues be resolved or the seer should resign.

Due to the escalating situation, the police have been assigned to provide security at the mutt. Police Sub Inspector Vijayaprathap confirmed that district reserve police have been deployed as a precautionary measure.

The devotees have established the Siddarameshwar Samsthan Hiremath Trust to manage the mutt’s affairs. The newly elected executive members are Veeranagouda Bannappagouda (President), Andaiah Kashimath (Honorary President), Dananagouda Tondihal (General Secretary), Siddappa Dandin (Vice President), and other prominent members including Shivappa Shastri, Kubegouda Malipatil, and Sharanappa Arakeri.
