In the honeytrap case involving a businessman, the accused in police custody have provided details about how the operation was carried out. The case centers on a complaint made by a young woman from Mumbai, who chose to remain anonymous. She disclosed that the businessman was lured into the trap under police observation.
The scheme involved a young woman employed at a Mumbai hotel, who was brought to Kalaburagi as part of the plan. The accused initially used her for their own purposes and then devised a plan to entrap a wealthy businessman. They tracked the businessman’s movements for six months and informed the woman about his schedule.
The businessman was given the woman’s contact details and began communicating with her. When the businessman traveled to Hyderabad, the woman was sent there as well and met him at a hotel, claiming she was also in the city. Later, when the businessman went to Bangalore, the woman was brought there and they met at Orion Mall.
The honeytrap case is being investigated using scientific and technical evidence to ensure that the guilty parties are held accountable and innocent individuals are not wrongly implicated. Police Commissioner Sharanappa stated that the aggrieved businessman has yet to contact the police. He urged any other victims to come forward directly.
