NTR Jr donates Rs 1 cr to support flood relief in Andhra, T’gana

Following the severe floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, actor NTR Jr has donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Funds of both states. On Tuesday, he took to social media platform X, expressing his concern for those affected by the floods.

In his post, NTR Jr shared, ‘I am deeply moved by the recent floods in both Telugu states due to heavy rains. I pray for the quick recovery of everyone affected. I am donating Rs 50 lakh each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to support the governments’ relief efforts.’

Earlier, the Telangana government released an assessment report detailing the damages caused by the heavy rains and floods, estimating the total loss at Rs 5,438 crore. The breakdown includes Rs 2,362 crore in damage to roads and buildings, Rs 175 crore for electrical installations, and Rs 415 crore for crop loss over 415,000 acres. Additional damages include Rs 629 crore for irrigation repairs, Rs 170 crore for rural development, and Rs 1,150 crore for municipal administration. To aid those displaced, the government organized 110 relief camps, safely relocating over 4,000 people.
