While Kangana Ranaut waits for the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) approval for her film ‘Emergency,’ another project of hers has been announced. On Tuesday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed on social media that Kangana will star in a new film titled ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata.’
‘Kangana Ranaut will play the lead role in ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata,’ a film that celebrates the extraordinary achievements of ordinary people,’ Taran wrote. The film is directed by Manoj Tapadia and produced by Babita Ashiwal (Eunoia Films) and Adi Sharmaa (Floating Rocks Entertainment). It will focus on the essential contributions of working-class heroes and blue-collar employees who keep the country running.
Producer Babita Ashiwal expressed her excitement, stating, ‘Working on this project has been very rewarding. We aim to create content that resonates with our audience, and with Kangana on board, we are confident it will connect well.’
Meanwhile, Kangana’s political drama ‘Emergency,’ which explores the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is still awaiting CBFC certification. Contrary to earlier reports, Kangana revealed that the certification is delayed due to death threats against the board members. She expressed frustration over pressure to remove scenes like the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the Punjab riots.
‘Emergency,’ featuring Anupam Kher and the late Satish Kaushik, was initially set to release on September 6.
