London

The prestigious Lord’s stadium in London will host the ICC World Test Championship final from June 11 to 15, 2025, with June 16 reserved as an extra day if needed. This will be the first time Lord’s has been selected for the final, following Southampton in 2021 and The Oval in 2023, which were won by New Zealand and Australia, respectively.

The final will feature the top two teams from the current cycle. Currently, Rohit Sharma’s India leads the standings, ahead of the defending champions, Australia. India has reached both previous finals but has yet to win the championship. Other teams like New Zealand, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and Bangladesh are still in the race for a spot in the final.

Fans interested in attending can register for tickets, which are expected to be in high demand. ICC CEO Geoff Allardice highlighted the growing anticipation for the World Test Championship Final, emphasizing its significance in the cricketing world. This event has become one of the most anticipated fixtures in cricket, reflecting the lasting appeal of Test cricket, he said.
