Indian para-shuttler Nithya Sre Sivan made history by securing a bronze medal in the women’s SH6 category at the Paris Paralympics 2024. She achieved this milestone with a decisive win over Indonesia’s Rina Marlina, scoring 21-14 and 21-6 in the match. This victory marks Nithya’s first-ever Paralympic medal.
Earlier, Nithya faced a challenging semifinal against China’s Lin Shuangbao, where she narrowly lost with scores of 13-21 and 19-21. Despite this setback, her performance in the bronze medal match showcased her skill and determination.
