The highly anticipated Tamil film ‘GOAT’, directed by Venkat Prabhu, is set to hit theaters on September 5. This science fiction action movie stars Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, Jayaram, Vaibhav, and Premji, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film has received a U/A certification from the censor board, and details of this certification have gone viral on social media. The movie, running approximately 179 minutes (3 hours), has had some modifications. The board required changes such as muting controversial language, trimming violent scenes, and adding disclaimers for smoking and drinking. Around 5 seconds of footage has been altered.
Additionally, a 3.5-minute blooper reel will be featured at the end of the film. As part of the promotional campaign, three songs from the movie have already been released. Although ‘GOAT’ was initially expected to be Vijay’s final film, the actor has recently launched his political party’s flag and is reportedly planning to star in one more film under the direction of H Vinoth before transitioning to his political career.
