Wife’s suspicious death, man commits suicide fearing public outcry

The body of a housewife was found hanging under mysterious circumstances at her husband’s house in Mandagere village, KR Pet taluk. Shortly after, her husband’s body was discovered in a lake. The rest of the husband’s family is missing, and it is suspected that Anji, a relative, may be absconding due to public anger over the housewife’s death.
The deceased housewife, Swathi, aged 21, was found dead at her home on Tuesday night. Her husband, Mohan, aged 26, is suspected to have committed suicide by jumping into the lake following his wife’s death. The exact cause of Swathi’s death remains unclear, with suspicions of either suicide or murder. Swathi’s parents have alleged that her death was a result of murder by her husband’s family.
After Swathi’s body was discovered, Mohan and his parents went missing. Swathi’s relatives accused Mohan and his family of murder. They later broke into Mohan’s house at night and set it on fire. Mohan’s body was found in the lake the following morning. The Kikkeri police visited the scene for an investigation. The couple leaves behind a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, now orphaned by their deaths.
