District-level authorities were instructed to implement precautionary measures and establish task forces at the gram panchayat level. Proactive measures at both district and local levels were emphasized to protect affected areas.
Educational institutions, including schools and anganwadis, in disrepair should be identified and relocated to ensure safety. Immediate repairs must be made to restore these buildings to a safe and functional state.
The identification of dilapidated culverts and bridges was also highlighted. Alternative arrangements should be made to maintain traffic flow and prevent accidents or hazards.
The occurrence of incidents resulting in loss of life and property due to floods was noted. Preventive measures were stressed to avoid future tragedies. A warning was issued that strict action will be taken against responsible officers if negligence leads to deaths or damage.Concerns about the Kuloor Bridge and landslides at Kettikal on the National Highway in Mangaluru were raised.
