Farmer commits suicide due to debt

A farmer committed suicide as he was unable to pay his debts. In Agni village of Hunsagi taluk of Yadgiri, the outstanding amount of Rs 16 lakhs for the Rs 7 lakhs loan availed from Karnataka Bank. Farmer Gurappa surrendered to hang himself at home as he could not bear the debt.

Gurappa Sagara (40) is a farmer who committed suicide. He was worried about how to pay the debt, farmer Gurappa, who had three children, took a loan of 7 lakhs on 4 acres of land in Agni village.
