Landslide occurred at Charmadi Ghati due to heavy rains throughout Monday night. A landslide occurred at the ninth turn and there was a traffic jam for two hours. The soil and trees lying on the road have been cleared and traffic has been facilitated.
Schools in Mudigere, Sringeri, Koppa, Kalasa, NR Pura taluks were declared holiday on Tuesday. The water level in the Tungabhadra river is rising and the district administration has advised the people of the low-lying areas to take precautions.
