Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has reported a total of 10.27 million passengers for the April to June period of this financial year. This figure represents a 7.2% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year, according to the Airports Authority of India’s (AAI) Air Traffic Report.
The increase in international passengers has significantly contributed to this growth, with a 20.3% rise in international traffic for the quarter. The total number of international passengers at KIA was recorded at 1.34 million. Domestic passenger traffic also saw an increase, reaching 8.93 million, marking a 5.5% rise from the previous year.
Nationwide, Indian airports collectively saw 99.54 million passengers during the first quarter, reflecting a 7.1% growth compared to the previous year. For June alone, KIA recorded 3.32 million passengers, a 9.1% increase from the same month in 2023.
