Dhanya Mohan, a manager at a leading non-banking finance company in Thrissur, Kerala, is missing and under investigation for allegedly embezzling Rs 20 crore. Police have launched a case and investigation into the matter. Mohan, who has been with the company for nearly two decades, reportedly started misappropriating funds in 2019, transferring money to the personal bank accounts of her family members. The police noted that she had been living a luxurious lifestyle and had acquired assets over the years. The Kerala-headquartered NBFC has over 5,000 branches in 28 states, assets exceeding Rs 400 billion, and employs more than 50,000 people.
