Govt school in city countryside transformed with modern facilities

Must read

The government school of Lakshmipur in Bangalore countryside, which had long appeared neglected with its old, unpainted structure, has undergone a remarkable transformation thanks to the efforts of the Global Innovator Service Organization and Akshaya Pratra Foundation.

Volunteers from these organizations have revitalized the school, turning its appearance into that of a private institution. Their dedication has brought innovative designs and enhanced learning tools to the school, igniting a renewed passion for education among the students.

Currently, the school hosts over 240 students, comprising 131 boys and 110 girls. The Trust’s efforts have introduced modern amenities such as a well-equipped library, a computer lab, and facilities for organic farming. Additionally, a garden has been established where students learn sustainable living practices, complemented by a rainwater harvesting system that educates them about water conservation.

Organic farming initiatives at the school aim not only to provide practical knowledge about healthy eating and organic foods but also instill responsible environmental stewardship from an early age.

This initiative enhances the overall educational experience, fostering a conducive environment for learning and growth among students.
