Leading Employee Transportation Company Omega has organized a comprehensive workshop with demonstrations, to educate cab drivers on discipline, punctuality, cleanliness, time management, and professionalism. It was a training workshop in the form of discussion, reflection, and dialogue. Information was given on following traffic rules and using safety precautions while driving to ensure safety.
Training workshop for safe driving:
At the event organized by Omega Company, which provides cab services to corporate firms, experienced and professional trainers conducted training for the cab drivers. The training program, which covered professional drivers’ duties, responsibilities, behaviour, cleanliness, politeness, safe driving, adherence to road rules, speed limits, precautionary measures, vehicle maintenance, vehicle documentation, and many other topics, received an excellent response from the drivers.
Free sewing machines distribution for selected driver families:
After the training workshop, free sewing machines were distributed to the families of chosen cab drivers. The aim of this free sewing machine distribution program is to help the beneficiaries take advantage of this facility to become financially stable and support their families.
This initiative was organised with the noble intention of making a small but meaningful contribution to the empowerment of women. A few months ago, Omega Company, demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility, had provided scholarships to the children of selected cab drivers. In this program, the families of selected drivers operating yellow board cabs in Bengaluru benefited from the facility. The event was attended by cab drivers, beneficiaries of the free sewing machines, experienced trainer Shivakumar, admin executive Niranjan, and staff from Omega Company.
Continued support for drivers’ welfare:
Omega’s endeavour for the welfare of its drivers is evident through previous initiatives, such as the distribution of free medical kits, uniforms and essential supplies. A few months ago distributed scholarships for selected Drivers’ children (PUC, Degree, B.E, MBBS) based on their marks. Now in the month of July Omega distributed sewing machines for selected drivers families.
