Must read

Kurubur Shanthakumar, the state president of the Federation of Farmers’ Organizations in Karnataka, has condemned the incident at GT Mall in Bengaluru on Wednesday, where a farmer wearing traditional attire (Panche) was denied entry. Shanthakumar described the mall’s actions as insulting to farmers across the state and highlighted that such behavior is unacceptable.

Shanthakumar called upon the mall’s management to issue an immediate apology for denying entry to a farmer simply because of his attire. He also demanded that the police register a case against those responsible and take strict legal action against them.

Warning of potential protests, Shanthakumar stated that if such disrespect towards farmers persists, thousands of farmers will march into the mall wearing shorts with barcodes as a form of protest. This statement underscores the seriousness with which the farming community views the incident and their resolve to seek justice and respect.
