A woman has allegedly lost Rs 74.1 lakh in an online stock market scam. On March 15, while scrolling on Instagram, an advertisement about share trading was seen by her. An interest was shown, and a message was sent to the provided number. An unknown person responded on WhatsApp.

A link was received, and upon opening it, she joined a group called D101 Artemis Seminar Group. Online trading information was received by her in this group. On April 25, another link was received to open a trading account with Artemis Profit Trading.

It was allegedly told to her that higher investments would lead to higher returns. An initial investment of Rs 10,000 was made. Between March 15 and July 4, she engaged in share trading and transferred Rs 73.6 lakh in phases to various bank accounts along with Rs 50,000 to the Artemis Profit Trading company.

Attempts to withdraw the money failed. Friends were consulted, and she realized that a fraud had occurred. A complaint was filed, and a case has been registered at CEN police station.
