Mongolian President Calls For Political Unity For National Interests

Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh called for unity among political parties and coalitions that secured seats in the parliamentary elections. He urged them to set aside election-related disputes and divisions, emphasizing the importance of working together for the country’s national interests.

According to reports, four parties—the ruling Mongolian People’s Party, the Democratic Party, the Hun Party, and the Civil Will-Green Party—along with the National Coalition, comprising the Mongolian National Democratic Party and the Mongolian Green Party, gained representation in the State Great Khural, Mongolia’s parliament.

Khurelsukh conveyed this message during a meeting with party and coalition leaders, stressing the need for mutual understanding and a forward-looking approach to safeguard Mongolia’s independence, security, and national unity.

Simultaneously, the Mongolian President issued a decree scheduling the inaugural session of the new parliament for Tuesday, underscoring the commencement of legislative activities amidst calls for political cooperation and solidarity.
