Key Proposals Pending For Approval By Center Discussed By CM

  1. Mekedatu project, designed to provide safe drinking water to Bangalore and surrounding areas, and generate hydroelectric power, pending since 2018. Environmental clearance urgently needed.
  2. Upper Bhadra Project, for irrigating 2.25 lakh hectares, awaited since 2020. Despite an allocated budget of Rs. 5,300 crore in 2023-24, no funds have been released.

  4. A proposal of Rs. 15,611 Crores for Phase-III of the Namma Metro Rail Project was submitted in August 2023.
