Praful Patel, the leader of the Nationalist Congress Party and a former minister of union civil aviation, described the Delhi Airport canopy collapse incident at Terminal 1 as unfortunate and recommended that an investigation be conducted rather than politicizing the issue.
Due to heavy rain on Friday morning, a portion of the canopy at Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1 collapsed, injuring numerous people and killing one person.
It is unfortunate that a portion of Delhi Airport’s Terminal 1 collapsed. I don’t understand the politics being played here. The building where the repair was being done was fifteen years old. Further investigation into the matter is necessary.
This airport was built by a significant company, Larsen and Toubro. Why is this a matter of discussion in politics? Instead, action must be taken, said Praful Patel.
Forensic experts from Delhi Airport Terminal 1 have already come to investigate the canopy fall incident.
The Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, declared that an investigation into the Terminal 1 canopy collapse incident at Delhi Airport has been initiated and that experts will be engaged. The inquiry has commenced. We’ll also call in department professionals to look at this. We will take action in response to the next report.
He continued by saying that every airport in the country will be inspected to ensure that something similar doesn’t occur again.
