On Sunday, the Israeli government gave its approval to a plan to buy 200 fire trucks for villages in the north.

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reports that in 2024, Hezbollah rocket barrages caused wildfires that burned about 15,000 acres of land in the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights. According to the government, the first two weeks of June accounted for 75% of the damage.
When the terrorist group Hezbollah started carrying out daily rocket and drone assaults in October, some 60,000 Israelis who were residents of northern villages were forced to flee. The terror cell that receives support from Iran has declared its intention to carry out more assaults in order to keep Israelis from going back to their homes. Ten civilians and fourteen troops have been killed by Hezbollah assaults since October 7.
