The Equipment Depot at Air Force Station Bengaluru observed World Environment Day with fervor and dedication. Led by Air Commodore Manoj Kumar, Air Officer Commanding, the Depot organized a tree plantation drive, symbolizing their commitment to environmental preservation on Wednesday.

The Air Officer Commanding, alongside Depot personnel, diligently planted over 100 saplings across the Depot Campus and Gagan Vihar. The initiative extended its reach to Kempapura, the adopted village of the Depot, where villagers enthusiastically participated in the noble endeavor.

During interactions with Depot personnel, the Air Officer Commanding underscored the detrimental effects of dwindling green cover, citing the recent surge in hot weather conditions in the Bengaluru region. He encouraged individuals to plant more trees in their surroundings as a proactive measure.

In addition, an interactive session was conducted for the women and children of the Depot, focusing on the importance of environmental conservation. Various aspects of conservation were extensively discussed, culminating in all Depot personnel taking an Environment Conservation pledge, marking the conclusion of the World Environment Day celebrations.
