Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state media coordinator Jagdish V Sadam criticized the BJP for exploiting Neha Hiremath’s murder case for political gains. Addressing the media in Bengaluru on Monday, Sadam condemned the BJP’s attempt to sow religious discord and urged Kannadigas not to trust such divisive tactics.

Sadam described Neha Hiremath’s murder in Hubli as a stain on Karnataka’s reputation and highlighted AAP’s demand for severe punishment for the culprit. He called on both the central and state governments to focus on amending laws to better protect women, citing the Nirbhaya Act framed after the Delhi gangrape case as a positive example.

Accusing the BJP of lacking substantive campaign content for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sadam criticized the party’s resort to politicizing tragic incidents like Neha’s murder. He highlighted issues such as unemployment, poverty, and inflation, which he claimed the BJP was failing to address.

AAP state treasurer Prakash Nedungadi echoed Sadam’s sentiments, highlighting the need for the state government to ensure justice for Neha Hiremath and improve women’s safety measures.
