Ankalagi Adavi Siddheshwar Rathotsava Held

Amidst shouts of victory, the world’s saviour Ankalagi Adavi Siddeshwar fair of Bammigatti village of Kalaghatagi taluk was held with a bang.

Devotees who had arrived from different areas including the village offered flowers and fruits to the chariot and bowed down. The chariot festival started from the math and passed through the car street of the village and came back to the mutt and concluded. The chariot procession decorated with various garlands attracted the attention of the onlookers.

Religious programmes were held in the mutt since morning. Devotees performed special puja and worshiped. Various religious rites and rituals were performed for kartru gaduge. Shivlingeshchara swamiji of Bammigatti and Sri Adva Siddheshwar mutt of Mantoor was present.

Venkateshwara, Gramadevi, Ankalagi Adavi Siddeshwar, Gurubasaveshwar youth association Dollu, Bhajan, Janj, Karadi Majalu brought weeds to the procession.

Successor Indudara Swamiji gave his blessings and the relationship between guru and disciple is great. Since the beginning of time, the guru has been imparting knowledge and wisdom to his disciples in one way or the other. He said that by following the path shown by the guru, one gets strength and liberation.

Village President Suresh Roykar presided. Gram panchayat members, PDO Manjunatha Angadi, Mahalingappa Yalavatti, Mallesha Mukkanvara were present.
