Unmarried Woman Accused Of ‘Fake’ Astrologers For Offering Special Ritual

Must read

A distressing case has unfolded where fraudulent astrologers preyed upon an unmarried woman desperate to resolve the delay in her marriage. The victim, whose name has been altered to Divya for anonymity, sought the guidance of an astrologer as she struggled to find a suitable match. Hailing from Odisha and residing in Gunjur, Varthur, Divya works in a corporate firm. Tragically, the accused and his cohorts exploited Divya’s vulnerability by promising to conduct various puja rituals, including a sheep sacrifice, to appease the celestial bodies. Threats loomed large as they warned Divya of dire consequences should she refuse to comply with their demands for more money. Realization dawned upon Divya when she discerned the deceitful nature of their schemes. Swiftly blocking their contact, she took decisive action by filing a complaint at the Varthur police station. The alleged perpetrators, known as Love Guru and Parameshwar Pandit, were brought to light through her courageous testimony. Recalling her ordeal, Divya recounted her initial contact with Parameshwar Pandit on February 25th, only to be later ensnared by Love Guru’s ominous proclamations about her unsuitable planetary alignments. Coerced into believing in the necessity of sacrificial rituals, Divya parted with a staggering sum of Rs 42,000 between February 29th and March 2nd. Fortunately, her vigilance halted further monetary transactions, prompting her to report the incident promptly. With her cooperation, authorities are diligently pursuing the apprehension of the culprits. As investigations unfold, Divya’s courage serves as a beacon of resilience against the perils of fraudulent exploitation.
