The controversy surrounding St. Gerosa English Higher Primary School here just does not seem to be showing any sign of dying down.
A case was registered at Kankanady Town police station following a complaint from the parent of a student at the school after the former alleged receiving abusive messages on social media, with her phone number and a photograph also going viral.

Police said an investigation has been launched, though the Block Educational Officer claimed he had no knowledge about the complaint.
The aggrieved parent told media persons that last Thursday, around 9:30 pm, she received a WhatsApp message from an international number, identifying her as the source of a viral audio message that had accused one of the teachers at St. Gerosa of making derogatory comments against Hindu gods and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The teacher was later suspended by the school management, following protests. She said she was flooded with numerous calls, including some from international numbers, which she did not answer. The calls continued the following day, too, the parent said.
The complainant was reportedly among the parents who had gathered outside the school in Jeppu on February 10 after the alleged comments by the teacher first came to light.
In the audio clip in question, which was sent to a Vishwa Hindu Parishad   leader by one of the parents, it was alleged that a class seven teacher at St. Gerosa had made derogatory remarks about Hindu gods during a Moral Science lesson titled Work is Worship.
