The annual festival of Infant Jesus was celebrated on Sunday as per the tradition of the Universal Catholic Church at the Infant Jesus Church in Shantinagar in the city.
Speaking on this occasion, Joseph Rodrigues, Principal of Don Bosco Educational Institutions, said that devotion to the Infant Jesus and his humility is an appreciation of his love for mankind, which is the secret of the worship of the Son of God and the incarnation of the Almighty God.
In his sermon, the main celebrant highlighted the importance of listening to each other with special reference to the youth. He said that we can enlighten listeners through the word of God, which leads a person to the sacraments, which makes him an evangelist.
Many graces and blessings and miraculous healings have been received by many people from all over the world through Bhakti and the festival wishes to all who participated.
Elaborate spiritual preparations were made for the festival with nine days of innovative prayers and special sermons on various topics on the role of families and youth in today’s world at the Infant Jesus Church in Shantinagar.
Dr. Father Alvin Sudhir, Father Roshan, Senior Priest Father Philip Kutty Joseph along with more than 40 Fathers and Kanyashiris of Belagavi Dharma Kshetra were attended by a large number of devotees.
