A Boeing 737 operated by S7 Airline, carrying 176 passengers, successfully executed an emergency landing at Novosibirsk airport in Russia following an engine fire shortly after takeoff. The incident, which took place during the flight from Novosibirsk to Moscow, prompted the skilled response of the flight crew, resulting in a safe emergency landing. The technical malfunction occurred around 07:00 local time (0000 GMT). Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and all passengers were safely accommodated in the airport building. Authorities from the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that a reserve aircraft was being prepared for the affected flight. The transport prosecutor’s office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the aviation incident. Meanwhile, the aircraft involved in the emergency landing is temporarily suspended from operation pending the completion of the investigation.
