Following the release of the Congress manifesto for Rajasthan, party leader KC Venugopal praised it as a revolutionary and people-centric document that addresses every concern of the people in the state. In a post on X, Venugopal, who is also the party’s General Secretary (Organisation), emphasized that the manifesto demonstrates the Congress’s commitment to delivering on key themes such as jobs, poverty alleviation, women and youth empowerment, and a robust plan for agriculture. Expressing confidence in the manifesto, Venugopal stated, Beyond our seven guarantees, our manifesto shows we have kept every single Rajasthani’s concerns in mind. I am confident that this will instill further confidence in the Congress and the people will see the stark difference between the Congress and an ideologically-bankrupt BJP. The Congress’s manifesto for the Rajasthan Assembly elections includes promises such as a caste census, MSP law for farmers, Right to Housing Law, a law for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), and reservation for minorities. Highlighting minority welfare measures, the manifesto pledges reservation according to population after conducting a caste census. Other key points include the implementation of the MSP law for farmers based on the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee, creation of a new cadre of government jobs at the Panchayat level, reduction of gas cylinder prices for certain beneficiaries, and making education up to the 12th grade free in private educational institutions by bringing in the RTE law.
