Flemingson Lazarus, a dentist from Kerala, secured his fifth IRONMAN title in Melbourne, Australia, after successfully completing the challenging triathlon event organized by the World Triathlon Corporation. The 52-year-old dentist had previously clinched IRONMAN titles in Malaysia, Finland, Egypt, and the United States earlier in June this year. The IRONMAN title is awarded to a triathlete who completes a series of events, including a 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycling, and a 21.1 km run, all within a stipulated cut-off time on a single day. Despite facing tough conditions with strong winds and cold temperatures during the race in Melbourne, Lazarus completed the event in an impressive time of 6:43:43 hours. Reflecting on his achievement, Lazarus expressed his determination to continue pursuing IRONMAN titles in each continent.
