Overcrowded KSRTC Bus Stalls By Driver

Must read

Kadaba

An incident occurred on Friday when the driver of a Kadaba-bound KSRTC bus via Shantimugeru refused to operate the vehicle due to severe overcrowding, causing a delay of more than half an hour at the Alankar crossroad. Upon reaching Alankar, a staggering 130 passengers had boarded the bus, far exceeding its designated capacity. In response, the driver insisted that at least half of the passengers must disembark before he would proceed. This situation echoes a recent tire burst incident with the same bus and driver at Kudmaru just last week. Facing this impasse, one of the passengers took the initiative to contact the Puttur division of KSRTC and requested their intervention. Following a conversation between a senior officer and the driver, an agreement was reached, and the bus eventually resumed its journey.
