KSRTC Collaborates With BMTC To Tackle Festive Rush As Dasara Travelers Flock Hometowns

As the Dussehra festival approaches, a surge in the number of people returning to their hometowns has led to overcrowding on KSRTC buses. In response to this situation, authorities have faced the challenge of accommodating the increased demand, prompting KSRTC to make an innovative decision by enlisting the support of additional BMTC buses. Reports indicate that until October 23, KSRTC will be operating services from various locations, including Bangalore, Bhadravathi, Shimoga, Chitradurga, Hosadurga, Srirampura, Hiriyur, Bellary, Hassan, Arasikere, Kunigal, Yediyur, Hirisave, Channapatna, and Mysore. To cope with the heightened demand, BMTC has announced its intention to deploy buses on routes spanning Dharmasthala, Hassan, and the Bangalore-Mysore highway. his collaborative effort between KSRTC and BMTC aims to ensure that travelers heading to their hometowns can do so comfortably and conveniently during this festive season. The decision reflects the commitment of both organizations to meet the travel requirements of the public and alleviate the challenges presented by the holiday rush.
