In a distressing incident, a woman and her son conspired to fatally attack her husband during a family dispute in Mandya. The deceased has been identified as Umesh, a 45-year-old resident of Chapuradoddi village near Maddur town. Local law enforcement has initiated a manhunt for the accused, who fled the crime scene. Umesh and Savitha had been married for two decades, but their relationship was marred by ongoing discord. Savitha had relocated to Bengaluru with her son, Shashank, after he secured a job in the city. However, she returned to the village to attend an event on Thursday, which resulted in a heated confrontation when Umesh denied her entry into their house. Accusations were exchanged, leading to an infuriated Savitha summoning her son Shashank to the village. Both mother and son confronted Umesh, resulting in a violent altercation where wooden objects were used as weapons. Tragically, Umesh sustained severe head injuries and succumbed to them. Realizing the gravity of their actions, the accused mother and son fled the scene. The victim’s parents reported the incident to the Besagarahalli police station, and an ongoing investigation is underway.
