Former BJP MLAs called me and spoke to me about leaving the party. However, former MLA MP Renukacharya said that he will not leave the party. Speaking to media persons  on the sidelines of a private function in the city, he said that the party needs a capable leadership and we are insecure.

Reacting to the meeting of the Congress leaders, he said, I have demanded that Honnali and Nyamathi taluks be included in the drought list. The grant was pending. I have met Congress leaders to restart it. I have never said that I will leave the BJP and join the Congress. Yediyurappa has also told me not to leave the party.

Reacting to MP GM Siddeshwar’s statement that he will contest and win the elections, he said, no MP ticket has been officially announced for anyone. I have respect for Siddheshwar, who is older in age. I have been with his father Mallikarjunappa during three elections and Siddeshwar’s four elections.

But some people are also doing the work of marginalising a lot of people. He finished off former Minister SA Ravindranath. Madal Virupakshapa  and killed Gurusiddanagouda. Virupakshappa was not allowed to become a Minister later. Madal Mallikarjun was finished   as he was growing politically. They have done the job of eliminating everyone. Now they are spreading baseless propaganda against me. The moment I am a ticket aspirant, they are trying to finish me off, which is not possible, he said.In the last Lok Sabha elections at Lingadahalli in Honnali, Siddeshwar had said that this was his last election. Now, as soon as I say I am a ticket aspirant, he is furious. Activists have also expressed their anguish against him, he said.
