As part of Chamarajanagar Dasara, a district-level marathon competition was held in the city on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag, who flagged off the marathon at chamarajeshwara temple premises, participated in the marathon along with the participants.The marathon, which started from Chamarajeshwara Temple, passed through Double Road, Court Road and culminated at Chamarajanagar Tourist Temple. The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by by Additional Deputy Commissioner Geeta Hudeda. Speaking after conducting the marathon, Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag said, I am also a marathoner. I was not involved in the athlete due to work pressure. Our District should become a healthy one. Dasara celebrations are going on in full swing across the district and people are responding well. In addition to the marathon, we also organise various other events. He said that in the coming days, a plagathon will be organized to create environmental concerns. Noted singer Rajesh Krishnan will perform a musical evening on the 20th.
