Dr. B.T. Rudresh Raises Concerns Over Healthcare Commercialization At Convocation Event

Kengeri, known for its educational institutions, recently hosted a convocation program at the SJBIT and SJP SAP College of BGS on the Kengeri Uttarahalli main road. The event saw prominent speakers addressing critical issues in various sectors, highlighting the evolving landscape of education and healthcare.

Dr. B. T. Rudresh, a respected figure in the Karnataka Homeopathy Board and a Nadoja awardee, expressed deep concern over the commercialization of the medical sector. During his speech, he lamented the loss of the sector’s focus on service, emphasizing its shift towards industrialization. He underscored the need for a more holistic approach, asserting that mental fortitude and lifestyle changes can contribute significantly to curing around 50% of diseases. He also cautioned against the practice of prioritizing profit over people’s well-being, referring to it as a concerning trend in contemporary healthcare.

Dr. G. Srikanta Sharma, the Director of Aerospace and Aviation Skill Board, stressed the importance of practical knowledge in addition to academic learning. He emphasized the relevance of the National Education Policy in promoting diverse and comprehensive education for the current competitive era, emphasizing the power of knowledge in guiding individuals towards enlightenment.

Adi Chunchanagiri Sri Nirmalanandanath Swamiji highlighted the significance of responsible freedom, cautioning against the misuse of liberty. He emphasized the need for conscious communication, advocating for moderation and thoughtful expression to avert potential negative consequences.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Dr. Prakashanath Swamiji, Managing Director of BGS Group of Companies, SJB IT Principal Dr. Mahendra, SJB SAP Principal Dr. Chandrasekhara, and renowned actor Ramesh Aravind, among others.
