Shekargowda Patil, a farmer from Chikkakabbara village in Rattihalli taluk, has gifted a car worth Rs 5 lakh to gangaiah Kulkarni, a young consultant who advised him on organic farming.

Shekargowda Patil was engaged in modern agriculture 20 years ago. Due to the use of various chemicals including high pesticides, high chemical fertilizers and herbicides, the land began to lose its fertility. Shekhar Gowda was upset with this. Young counsellor Gangaiah rushed to his aid.

He introduced them to the dying products they wanted, including the importance of dying agriculture. As a result, year after year, Shekargowda Patil made huge profits in organic farming. He also advised other farmers on organic farming. Gangaiah’s concern for the death of Shekargowda Patil has won the hearts of Shekargowda Patil. For a few years, Gangaiah had been riding a two-wheeler advising farmers. When Gangaiah realised that he did not have a proper vehicle to move around, he gifted a car to Shekargowda Patil, a dying farmer.

Shekhargowda Patil, a farmer, said, this will greatly benefit the organic farming. If they are given a vehicle, Gangaiah will make the lives of thousands of farmers better. This will show the importance of dying agriculture in the country in the district, he said. Gangaiah, who has accepted the car given by Shekargowda Patil with gratitude, has put the name of Shekargowda on his car.Speaking on the occasion, Gangaiah said, I have been advising on organic farming for the last 20 years. This kind of gift was not expected. But Shekhargowda Patil gifted me a car, which added to my responsibility. This has increased enthusiasm to help farmers who are dying.  Since I have a car, I will help the farmers in more ways.
