The accused, Kundalik Jumbar Khandagale, is the proprietor of Siddeshwara Traders in Solapur, Maharashtra. The victim, Abdul Rahiman Bawa, and the accused initially crossed paths in January 2021 through their involvement in agricultural produce trading. Kundalik was engaged in the onion trading business in both Chennai and Mangaluru. Over time, their relationship evolved into a close friendship. Subsequently, Kundalik visited Mangaluru with the deceptive intention of persuading Abdul Rahiman that there was a highly profitable investment opportunity. He succeeded in convincing Abdul Rahiman to transfer a sum of Rs 75 lakhs to the bank account of Siddeshwara Traders, which is owned by Kundalik.
