Ganeshotsava was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at the BESCOM office in Kengeri division, with officials, employees and contractors participating in the festivities.
Yeshwanthpur Assembly constituency MLA S.T. Somashekar offered prayers to the idol of Lord Ganesha and appreciated BESCOM employees for their efforts during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.
Somashekar said BESCOM staff had been working to provide electricity connections to residents and organisers installing public Ganesh idols in residential areas across BBMP wards during the festival. He said employees and contractors later installed and worshipped Lord Ganesha at the BESCOM office after the public idols were immersed.
He described the celebration as a positive development, saying it reflected devotion, harmony and a sense of community among BESCOM personnel.
Kengeri BESCOM Executive Engineer Shivakumar said the festival was being observed with the belief that Lord Ganesha, known as the remover of obstacles, would ensure that people across the State and BESCOM employees faced no hurdles in their personal and professional lives.
He said installing the idol at the office also reflected Karnataka’s cultural traditions and faith. He expressed hope that the prayers would bring good health, prosperity and success to employees and their families.
The event was attended by Kengeri BESCOM EE Shivakumar, Kengeri Kote Ward president T. Prabhakar, Kodipalya Mahesh, BESCOM AO Ningaraju and AEE officials Prakash, Shilpa and Jitendra Kumar, besides other staff members.
The celebrations concluded with prayers and rituals conducted in a spirit of devotion and camaraderie among the BESCOM employees and officials.
