Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Karnataka is expected to bring political discussions to the forefront, BJP MLA Arvind Bellad said in Dharwad. Bellad said discussions on political issues in the state would be natural when senior national leaders visit Karnataka.

Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Hubballi at around 11 pm on Friday. On Saturday, he is expected to inaugurate the KLE Medical College in Hubballi before proceeding to Belagavi as part of his Karnataka visit.

Bellad said meetings with national leaders often provide an opportunity to discuss issues concerning the state and the party. He indicated that political matters could also come up during Shah’s interactions with state leaders and party functionaries.

The BJP has been witnessing discussions over its state leadership and other organisational matters in Karnataka. However, Bellad did not indicate what specific decisions, if any, could emerge from Shah’s visit.
